Job Description:
Maxim Integrated Products, the global leader in the development and manufacturing of analog circuits (semiconductors), Fortune 500 member, S&P 500 member, Nasdaq 100 member, is currently looking for an individual to fill our EDI Coordinator position.
The EDI coordinator is responsible for the coordination and EDI analysts in order to ensure that all system changes are processed as according to change control guidelines. Recommendations for improvements based on existing operating procedures and maintaining high customer service is required. Primary responsibilities will include: Adding new trading partners, creating maps/pips, creating macros to automate processes, and working with our IT dept to create loading programs into our ERP system (SAP).The Coordinator will have direct involvement with testing new application software upgrades. He/She will be responsible for maintaining our existing EDI processes as well as expanding EDI into other departments within the company, including adding new transaction sets and trading partners. You will also have a role in developing and maintaining the EDI portion of our VMI program.
Some relatively light database management will also be required, so prior MS Access, Excel and VB experience is required. You will need to be able to create tables and queries to retrieve archived data. We are currently using an IBM Sterling Commerce mapper, latest version of IBM Sterling's GIS product. Experience with either versions of the software is a plus.

EDI coordinators must have a solid understanding of the business practices of the client company as the coordinator's ability to understand the client's impending needs will have a direct impact on the efficiency of the client company. Must have proven experience in extremely high-pressure, deadline-driven work environment. Excellent interpersonal communication skills are a must, particularly in the ability to relate technical information to non-industry personnel.
Ability to create GIS maps and XI PIPs
Previous experience dealing with VANs
