SAP BI Consultant – Roles & Responsibilities
• Responsibilities:
Convert functional requirements into technical specifications & document designs (data models, cube design)
Work with Business Analyst community to define, design, develop & deploy reporting solutions.
Design & build required queries/workbooks & associated objects utilizing BEX Analyzer
Design, develop & performance tune InfoCubes, DSOs & InfoObjects
Define & perform Unit testing scenarios
Identify, document & resolve Production Support issues
• Skills / Requirements:
1-4 years experience in SAP BW Business Warehouse & Business Intelligence Solutions
Experience with B/BWI 7.0 & SAP ECC 6.0 is required
Functional knowledge & understanding of SAP ERP is desirable
Strong ABAP skills for data extraction & transformation with experience in performance tuning of Data extractors
Experience in customizing data sources using performance-optimized ABAP/4 extracts, with demonstrated experience of ABAP coding, extractors, user exits & transformation routines
Experience with one full life cycle end-to-end implementations that included both frontend & backend tools
Strong BW technical expertise coupled with solid experience in design, modeling, extraction, transformation , implementation & support of complex requirements
Strong knowledge in reporting/analytics using BW front end tools including BEx Analyzer , query designer & Web Application Designer
Experience with data extraction, transformation & load processes with a focus on Sales & Distribution
Application experience in SAP R/3 SD, MM, Inventory & Finance modules is a plus
• Note: Designer should have at least 3 years experience. Developer requires at least 1 year experience.
