Role description
RESPONSIBILITIES • Define the design for medium to high complexity custom solutions • Complete development activities such as coding, testing, documentation and maintenance support for SAP Custom Development solutions • Conduct specification, design and code reviews of own and dependent modules and interfaces • Provide high quality of message resolution adhering to the Service Level Agreements • Have a high customer focus and manage customer expectations in a responsive manner • Communicate project status according to project communication plan • Adhere to project timelines and budget specified • Escalate issues well in advance and suggest alternative approaches • Support and influence team activities positively • Be flexible in taking up different tasks in the project • Enhance skills and competencies by adhering to the development plan • Work closely with other custom development team members, external partners and customer teams to ensure successful project completion REQUIREMENTS EDUCATION B.Tech / M.Tech / MCA with an aggregate score of 65% or above from IIT / NIT / any Premium Institute SKILLS AND COMPETENCIES • 3+years of Java development experience • Core Java – Classes / Interfaces, Threads & Locks, RMI, JNDI, JDBC, JVM Execution • Advanced Java concepts: JSP / Servlets, Struts, JEE 5, EJB, Design Patterns • Webservices & related concepts – WSDL / WSIL, SOAP, Service Registry • Exposure to JMS (Java Messaging Server), Java Mail APIs or JCA (Java Connectivity architecture) would be an added advantage • Strong knowledge in any of the following areas: o XI o MDM o BI o EP o Composition Environment & related toolset Guided Procedures, Visual Composer, Java Webdynpro, CAF • Should be willing to work on ABAP & other SAP technologies • Experience in working on projects in a distributed development model • Strong analytical and problem solving skills • Experience in leading sub-teams of developers and delivering successful results • Excellent verbal, written and presentation communication • Flexibility when working with colleagues of different cultural background
