Sourcing Specialist Required @ Goodrich

A Fortune 500 American MNC with over 100 facilities all over the globe. The company is 100+ years old and its manufacturing facility is based in Bangalore. The Company is a global leader in aerospace industry with three divisions in India.

About the organization

This position will report directly to the Assistant Sourcing Manager of Interiors responsible for Low Cost Country Sourcing of Machined Components and would be based at Bangalore site. The selected individual will be required to support Global Sourcing Initiatives and manage projects associated with low cost country sources. ESSENTIAL DUTIES, RESPONSIBILITIES AND AUTHORITIES Include the following, other duties may be assigned. o Develop infrastructure to support the Goodrich, Interiors Cargo Systems global supply chain strategies and initiatives.Including but not limited to: LCC Sourcing, Commodity Management, Supplier selection, assessment and maintenance. Engagement in new product development, management of vendor inventory programs, part obsolescence management, contract management and implementation of industry best practices o Identifies potential low cost global suppliers and coordinates/plans the actual transfer of Goodrich, Interiors Cargo Systems work to low cost global suppliers. o Support the efforts of Supplier Development Engineers/Associates in support of value engineering activities designed to reduce the acquisition cost of sourced product o Selects/removes suppliers in support of the Goodrich, Interiors Cargo Systems supply chain strategy. o Secures/improves profitability through the use of negotiations, LTA's, reverse auctions, design and process change proposals. o Manages day to day operations of any strategic sourcing initiatives. o Works closely with business units and operations to determine current and future requirements. o Recommends and manages the utilization of sourcing tools. o Communicates environmental concerns to supervisor or staff manager, participates in scheduled training classes, complies with the guidance or approved procedures provided to them, and provides feedback to improve the effectiveness of the Environmental Management System
