Desired Candidate Profile
•Minimum 3 years of experience as mechanical components purchase engineer in the medium / large scale engineering / manufacturing setup.
•Good exposure to SAP / ERP system.
•Good knowledge of the commercial terms including sales tax, excise related controls.
•Good result orientation and organizational commitment.
•Good communication and negotiation skills.
•Exposure to production and planning will be an added advantage.
Job Description
•Procurement of components for production, tools, consumables and lubricants and timely release of documents.
•Negotiating with suppliers for quality, cost and deliveries.
•Compare and negotiate the prices of materials and finalize orders.
•Vendor visit, sourcing and development.
•Monitor vendor's performance and launch / initiate development actions.
•Development and utilization of benchmarking methodologies for supplier selection.
•Search, select and qualify competitive suppliers in order to reach the production targets.
•Inventory control.
